Our Curriculum
At KinderBuds Preschool, we integrate play, project and real- world exploration to support every child’s holistic growth. We encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and the love for discovery and exploration which helps to build a strong foundation for life-long learning.
How We Learn
Our curriculum is designed around an integrated, thematic and project-based approach. Children explore a central theme which ties together with literacy, numeracy, discovery of the world, creative arts, and social emotional learning. Every term culminates a class project, allowing children to dig deeper to the topic they are interested about.
Our in-house KIDS Adventure Books series, are tailored to each level to reinforce and support the children learning of different domains.
Our curriculum is designed to ensure a smooth, progressive development in teaching our children, fostering academic, social, emotional, and physical growth as they progress through each year. We aim for continuity and alignment in learning, making each stage a stepping stone towards the next.
Our curriculum objective is to secure that our children experience progression, from Playgroup to Kindergarten, for them to grow with strong academic and emotional foundation, fostering curiosity, independence, and love for learning.
Cultivating a Love for Chinese
Through Play and Culture
At our preschool, learning Chinese is fun, interactive, and rooted in everyday life. Instead of rote memorization, children explore vocabulary and characters through themes they know and love — such as colours, animals, and transportation— building a strong language foundation naturally.
Chinese Character Introduction
Children begin with basic strokes and gradually learn how Chinese characters are formed. Engaging activities like “Finding Chinese Characters in Our Environment” encourage discovery and help children understand the origins and evolution of Chinese writing.
Hanyu Pinyin Programme
Pinyin guides pronunciation, ensuring children develop correct language skills as a head start.
Cultural Arts Integration
Our curriculum blends language learning with hands-on cultural experiences. Children enjoy activities such as tie-dyeing (扎染) , ink painting（水墨画) , paper cutting（剪纸) , and creating traditional round fans（团扇) , connecting with Chinese culture in a playful and meaningful way.
Classic Literature
We introduce timeless works such as 三字经 and 弟子规, giving children early exposure to Chinese literary heritage and cultural values.

At KinderBuds, our experienced teachers from China, Singapore, and Malaysia bring authentic language and culture into the classroom. All hold early childhood qualifications, with principals having additional leadership expertise. Using Mandarin daily through stories, songs, and play, they create a nurturing environment.
We’re committed to maintaining high-quality teaching across every level. That’s why all our educators receive ongoing in-house training to ensure consistent, engaging, and child-centered teaching methods, helping children grow with confidence in both language and life.
